Young Hope Youth Group (Grades 6 - 12)

New Hope provides a welcoming, pressure-free environment for teens who are interested in growing their faith through service projects, Christian education, and recreational activities. All youth are welcome, even if you aren't a member of New Hope!

Upcoming Meetings and Activities

  • Sunday, September 9th (5:30 - 8:00 pm): Fall Youth Group Kick Off & Parent 2019 Mission Trip Meeting @ New Hope                                Join us for our first fun night of this school year at New Hope UMC, Room 104. Parents are asked to stay from 5:30 – 6:30 pm for our 2019 Mission Trip information and decision voting. After that, youth will jump into games and snacks to celebrate the start of this school year!  

  • Saturday, September 15th (4:30 - 9:30 pm): Special Event: Be The Light Walk Mission Outreach                                                                          We will be helping the volunteers at the annual Be The Light Walk. This family-friendly event, located at the KI Convention Center, lights up the night to reduce stigma and prevent suicide. Please register your youth for volunteering at https://bethelightwalk.com/volunteer/. If you do not register, you will not be able to volunteer with us.

  • Sunday, September 16th (6:00 - 8:00 pm) – Reality Check: You Matter                                                                                                                    We will meet members of our congregation who have lost loved ones to suicide. Through discussion and prayer, we will explore ways to seek help when times become overwhelming. Bible Study Hall will begin tonight (6:00 – 6:30 pm). Room 104 @ New Hope UMC.

  • Sunday, September 23rd (6:00 - 8:00 pm) – Ready, Aim, GO!                                                                                                                                                Take your turn at our Young Hope target games. Living into faith takes time and practice – as do these games. Room 104 @ New Hope UMC.

  • Sunday, September 30th (6:00 - 8:00 pm) – Reality Check: Know When To Walk Away                                                                              Manage your emotions and body when you are in the midst of conflict with Master Brown, self-defense instructor.  Celebration Center at New Hope UMC.

  • Sunday, October 7th (6:00 - 8:00 pm) – Show Me Your Talents                                                                                                                                  Bring your creative detective skills as we scour to find answers to the talents we have. 

  • Sunday, October 14th (6:00 - 8:00 pm) – Pumpkin Carving                                                                                                                                                It’s pumpkin carving night!  $5 gets you a pumpkin to create your best work of art. Bonus: this will be your chance to participate in some pumpkin seed spit-outs! There will be no Bible Study Hall tonight.  Celebration Center at New Hope UMC.

  • Saturday, October 20th (5:00 - 9:30 pm) – Special Event: Corn Maze!                                                                                                                                 We will be headed to Meuer Farm in Chilton to adventure through the corn maze under the moonlight. Cost is $12 per person. We will be departing New Hope UMC at 5:00 pm with and estimated return time of 9:30 pm.  Dress for the weather! Special permission slips are required for this activity.

  • Sunday, October 28th (6:00 - 8:00 pm) – Halloween Party                                                                                                                                            Wear your costume and come ready for our neighborhood scavenger hunt. Dress for the weather! There will be no Bible Study Hall tonight.

To ensure your child's safety, All youth participating in our Youth group program are required to have a signed medical release form.    

For special events, you will need a signed permission slip. These are available in our church office or by clicking on the links to the right.
